Oh Well, since I blogged about buffet brunch I had in Rasa Sayang recently, I thought I might as well share the few buffets I went to within this year. I went to EQ’s buffet brunch somewhere in Feb one fine Sunday afternoon.
Compare with Rasa Sayang, Equatorial offers spreads that are more to typical Asian fares, typical combination of breakfast and spreads you usually have at hotels, from cereals and milk, free flow fruit juices, rice, noodles and variety of meat poultry seafood, desserts. and many more, nothing too fancy, no scallops and yabbies, but they have fresh juicy yummy oysters… and they are priced at 40% less than what you are paying at Rasa Sayang… at MYR 45++ (adult) MYR 25.50++ (child) (++ is 10% service charge and 6% government tax)
Anyways, come.. let me show you what they have.. although there were some dishes I did miss out.. cos capacity full already…
Porridge and condiments…
Steamed siew mai (rasa’s better) fried wonton’s dumplings, stir fried noodles, vege, fish fillets in sweet sour sauce and stir fried prawns…
Salad bar from various parts of Asia… edamame, glass noodles kerabu, potato salad and gado gado… they do have those typical salad with dressing too…
From the cold bar, they have sushi, mussels, prawns and of course cute round but fresh fat juicy oysters!!
Yes, I had quite a lot of oysters that day :P
From the grill station outside, they have the whole grilled lamb with briyani, satays, some seafood, and i think few others more that I could not remember clearly…
Typical omelette for breakfast…
A little of this and that.. this is more to the malay cuisines…nasi lemak, roti jala (made to order but was a bit dry though) with chicken curry, they have ayam masak somehting, lamb kurma, beef something.. kerabu mango, stir fried vege.. actually I kinda mixed up everything here… but I have to say they have a corner of malay cuisine offering quite a number of dishes…
Yam ice cream with lotsa crushed peanuts…
Sweet corn ice cream, also with lotsa crushed peanuts..
The coffee shop has been like that for years… nothing new, nothing fancy or anything too pretty or sophisticated… kinda old skool… ambiance was just okay… food wise also actually not bad for the price you pay.. :)
No seaview, but you get to see lush greenery across the golf course of BJCC and also you get to see Penang bridge from there.. :D
