Makan Makan DHL Express PEN

I'm glad to be working in a company filled with colleagues of different races... perhaps, it reminds me of childhood memories where my neighbourhood kids are all mixture of all 3 races... there's 1 chinese house at my lorong, which is my house, one indian house belongs to the family of Uncle Maniam.. and 3 houses of Malay neighbours... and our age does not differs much... so to say, same generation la.. haha... so we can all play along... be it badminton in the middle of the road, play tag, skipping rope, "zero point" hahaha.. i do not know if anyone can be reminded of this game, where we're required to jump over the with different levels of difficulties... haha... gosh... i get so excited recalling back those games... then playing AEIOU, kala panjang or we called it "lom", pepsi cola... the game that u go home with bruise or dirt stain on your feet :P or dirth shoes... and many others.... i enjoyed playing masak masak wih my back door neighbour too... so basically on festive seasons, we all send over cookies and sorts to each other's houses.... and i studied in and English/Malay school.. Father Barre's Convent with students of all different races blend along together... haha.. ok.. i think i got too carried away with childhood memories...

Anyways, same here with DHL, we pretty much observed all the major festive celebration and will organize these makan makan and get together sessions, since it's very rare that the whole team is able to have lunch/dinner together....

Buka Puasa Dinner 2008

This was last year's buka puasa dinner in the office pantry... where we join along with operations as well, and sponsored by the bosses :D

Deeparaya Makan Makan 08...

This was more like a small potluck session for Deepavali and Raya celebration among the support team where the Malay and Indian colleagues each brought some food over.. this is also a great practice where all of the CSEs can all sit together, eat and talk about anything but work :D I've blogged about this session previously so not gonna say much d.. haha..

It was another potluck session where each of us brought in food and have out makan session...
