This is one humble place located quite near my house in SP. It is not any grand looking restaurant, more like an woodenhouse turned into a restaurant/coffee shop with both indoors and outdoors seatings. Indoors seats are limited, and with air condition. It is located next to a small Chinese temple and also Kim Auto, car service centre.
Went there with my family and mom highly recommended the mantou-s. It’s soft fluffy bun with fillings. I’m not very sure what the filling is though..
It’s like some crispy fritters dipped in some sauce and placed in between the mantou-s.. the mantou was indeed very soft…
Apple chicken was not bad… chicken pieces are fried, topped with thinly julienne apples and onions… and topped with the thai fried chicken sauce.
Salted egg mantis prawns… also a favourite..
Sambal brinjal was just so so… not too spicy, good thing not too oily…
House specialty beancurd…. if you notice, most Chinese restaurant have their own house specialty tofu/beancurd.. not bad also…
Steamed fish with soy sauce.. fish was fresh, very smooth and silky.
Overall, dinner for 6, with ambra juice each, bill comes up to MYR 98 if I’m not mistaken. Not very cheap for a SP regular zhu char, but with the freshness of the food, okay la.. not bad la..
I cannot exactly explain the location in detail but it’s somewhere here.
