Fancy some nyonya kuih and not sure where to get around Bayan Lepas/Bayan baru area? Sometimes I have hard time thinking where to get these kuih too.. at my housing area, the uncle only sells on the eve of some Chinese festivals and eve of 1st and 15th of the Chinese calendar.
This stall is located at the Sunshine market food court, at the cornet lot, same row with Kee Mei Siew Pow, facing Suntech.
Kuihs are of limited amount, but a variety of choices.
Stall lot number 78. If I’m not mistaken, it’s closed on Fridays. It is open on late afternoons, around 5 to 6pm. Besides nyonya kuih, uncle also sells bread and biscuits.
Glutinous rice steamed with coconut milk with sweetened grated coconut topping. Basically the grated coconut is sweetened with gula melaka/palm sugar.
Also glutinous rice steamed with coconut milk, with dried shrimp and grated coconut fillings wrapped in banana leaves, and toasted until fragrant.
A savoury nyonya kuih.
Noticed what nyonya kuih-s have in common? All of them are rich in taste because a must ingredient for majority of nyonya kuih-s is coconut milk. More introduction to other nyonya kuih next time :D
