Winter Warmers Coffee & Tea House, Gurney Plaza (revisited)

It was raining cats and dogs on a Saturday a couple of weeks back… so having no other option since me and my friend were already in town, we decided that Gurney Plaza will be the best option to escape from getting drenched.. well,  guess everyone had the same thoughts and heading to the same direction… not to mention… most of the food outlets were full with patrons… Unable to decide what we actually want to have, we blindly walked into Winter Warmers cause they serve all, English, Western, Italian and Oriental.

And my friend’s regular hot peach milk tea, MYR8.90, which she loved a lot!

After browsing the menu from from to back and back to front, we opts for both oriental fusion fares.. They actually have quite a number of selections, not huge but enough to make us undecided… First to arrive is the Tomyam Seafood Spaghetti, MYR 14.90. I personally thought that it will come like a normal regular tomyam spaghetti, more soupy but it came piping hot and in a drier version with thicker sauce which was very good! I liked it a lot as the flavour was rich, sour and spicy enough…. Stir fried with rich sauce and seafood like mussels, prawns and squid.

Next was the Mango Chicken Rice, MYR 12.90. Rive served with mango and chicken, topped with yummy tangy mango taste-like sauce. Which was also a good choice made. The chicken was tender, must have been poached or steamed before pan fried for the crispy skin (I’m just assuming.. haha..). The sauce is yummy, complement very well with the chicken and the rice..

The lavender cookies I’ve had during the visit prior to this one… which was very fragrant and tasted not bad, not too strong… I was skeptical at first cos I' do not want to be eating some cookies that taste like my floor detergent. :P  If I’m not mistaken, 6 pieces at MYR5.00., can’t remember. Will try the lavander cheese cake next time.. :D Oh ya… they changed the stained table cloth… haha… not sure if it’s for good or it’s just on rotation… Will check again the next visit.. :P and perhaps it’s time for them to fix the slight torn wall papers too…
