Once in a while, it’s nice to join my malay colleagues for lunch… cos they will go to places that I might have not gone to before.. We one day decided to go to one of the roadside stalls along the Phase 3 & 4 FTZ coastal highway… this one is just meters away from the medan selera opposite the traffic light from Seagate and Knowles.
It’s a lorry stall by the name of Bulan Restaurant (Cawangan)… don’t play play… got cawangan (branches) some more.. serving Mee Goreng/rebus and Pasembur… it’s actually our first time… wanting to be adventurous… haha… well, some may not go for some obvious reasons… but to me.. I’m kinda flexible… :P The food is okay, portions are huge and price reasonable… you get to enjoy sea breeze and well, it can be a little bit hot for lunch though… evenings should be fine…
The stall… and the pak cik (uncle)..
The “restaurant”, I mean, cawangan, open air concept…. pick your seat under the biggest tree for better shade!
The pasembur…. the sauce is more reddish, well, I personally prefer the orangy milkish colour type… kuah kacang(peanut sauce) type.. and lotsa chili brown sotong! Taste wise is okay.. and the portion was too big, I could not finish…
The Mee Rebus with sotong overload too.. :D and also another huge portion….
My colleagues said it’s not bad too too :D very generous portion…
You can opt for vermicelli(bee hoon) too if you don favour yellow noodles….
Price are reasonable… ranging from MYR3.50 to MYR5.00.
