2008 Chinese Lunar New Year

Shopping centres all decorated with Chinese New Year theme, welcoming the Chinese Lunar New Year, Year of the Golden Rat.... In Penang Island itself, there are at least 5 shopping centres around.. this year.. i managed to go to Queensbay Mall and Gurney Plaza... Decorations are pretty.. all very semanagat... kekeke...i still think last year's were better... especially gurney's... they cut cost i think... kekeke

Huge revolving lantern with traditional chinese maidens playing traditional sitar-like instruments.... and features on the centre zone court...

In Gurney, maybe because of limited space, it's has lesser deco this year.. not very exaggerated compared to last years cherry blossom trees... but colourwise, Gurney's deco is more fiery and red.. maybe because of the lighting also....

And they have Shaolin acrobats from China performing! Impressive shows they have...
