Satay Kajang Hj Samuri, Sg Buloh Overhead Bridge Restaurant

My first Satay kajang indulgence  was during iFoodex event  in PISA back in 2009. Post available here. Photos then look more appetizing and inviting somehow.. hahaha… Anyways, during a trip down to KL with my colleagues, we stopped by Sg Buloh  Overhead bridge restaurant (R& R) for some satay! You will not miss the restaurant as it’s at the corner lot.

It was quite fast, cos during that time, not many ppl yet. They serve satay sauce and the chili with the oil (to be stirred and evenly mixed) along with the ketupat we ordered. Cucumber came by default.. now only I noticed that onions were missing.

Not long later, came the satay… we had chicken, beef and mutton satay.

The satay though came luke warm, it’s not hot like i thought it’s supposed to be.. you know.. like piping hot from the grill… nevertheless I have to say the satays were juicy and tender, only meat, no fats.

The ketupat actually have not much different with the nasi himpit.. i think it’s different in the sense of how it was packed. Anyways, it goes very well with the yummy satay sauce! I personally prefer glutinous rice ketupat-s wrapped in daun palas (i think it’s palm leaves). Fattening and filling but I love glutinous rice! 

Price affordable, quite fair comparatively that now averagely, chicken satay-s also cost at MYR0.50 per piece. Some are even at MYR 1 each. I will personally go to the restaurant and try one day. Tried once during a potluck at a friend’s and quality wise pretty much the same with satay kajang.
