Random Dining Experiences....

Haven't been writting or posting anything since i can't remember when... loads of photos taken but still don't have the time to organize and blog about it... so gonna do a dining summary for the past months.. kekeke...

Breeks, G Hotel-Gurney Plaza

Food wise not bad, presentation also pretty okay... price also standard... i had salad, and can't remember what the other 2 orders were.. one fish one chicken.. that's all i can remember.. hahaha... and drinks also i remember lemonade, and the 3 others, can't recall.. only got photos... :P

Yaki Teppan, Sg Nibong

Be warned to prepare to smell like the kitchen when you leave the place.. pretty packed during lunch hours too... menu selection quite big... they have set lunch and price is reasonable... we ordered grilled salmon, teriyaki chicken and fish... set comes with fried wonton, coleslaw, soup and a drink...

Dragon Y, Suntech City, Bayan Baru

It's quite new when we went there.. now i think it's few months old already... Food is just okay... there is space for improvement... they have set meals too... with reasonable price, a second try... maybe..... we ordered soup noodles with chicken drumstick and pork respectively, also lemon chicken with rice...set is served with a drink and desert...

Hung Seafood, Esplanade night food court

They have few choices of shell fish, and sometimes you may have to wait for an hour before your food is served.. but patrons still wait though (famous la it seems).. just like us... haha... our fixed order always has fried oyster omelette, "kapah" and "thanh". It can be really oily sometimes... must request it to be less oily... with shell fish cholesterol level already sky high... plus the oil somemore, the level already go up to heaven.. cannot indulge in these too often... we'll usually complete the meal with fresh juice and a plate of rojak or fresh fruit platter....

Siam Express, Queensbay Mall

This was my first time dining there... it's pretty surprising to see that usually the place is usually empty, or even there are patrons, it's never full... but the business still manage to survive until now... hmm.. they serve the food pretty fast.. well. ok.. maybe it's because you are the only table dining at that moment... food is actually pretty ok... menu selections also not bad... and they have happy hour too.. 50% off for listed items from 3:00pm to 6:00pm daily...

Hai Beng, Batu Maung

Went for zhu char meal, for four person... ordered tom yam... a bit too salty... sizzling mix tofu with vege & mushrooms... sweet & sour spare ribs (pai kut ong) and vege... cost us... RM56... pretty pricey... tasted.. urm.. ok la.. not bad.. portion was small though...

Yataimura, Queensbay Mall

Not sure if the food quiality have deteriorate compared to the ones in Burmah... have always ordered the same Gekikara ramen and Kar Wai had her typical jap orders Salmon with rice and chawanmushi.... maybe i should try others next round...

Kocha, Taiwanese Delight, Burmah Road

2nd visit and it's still the same.. pretty packed... noticed that they have a lot of old faithfuls.. maybe.. haha... selections pretty wide... they have set meals as well... we ordered one pork with rice set and one chicken with rice set.. it comes with sides like vegetables, soup, scrambled eggs, small cup of warm barley drink and a tea drink too...

another ordered a, i can't remember the name but it's like steamboat concept kinda thing... soup with vege, mushrooms and assorted fishballs

One of Farlim's restaurant during tea time....

They serve laksa with spring rolls... with fresh big fish meat too... next stall sells "bak kua" bread and various bbq items like fish balls, bishop nose, etc... would always prefer the kiew brother's stall at gurney drive...

Wong Kok, Queensbay Mall...

Don't really favour this outlet if in a rsh.. cos they take ages to serve you your order... ahahaha.. this time though did improve a little... but food wise is still not impressive and i have to say it might have deteriorate a lil... their noodles are pretty oily and it all stucked together in one whole chunk....

TGIF, Fridays Queensbay Mall

Their fried breaded mac & cheese is always a favourite with salsa sauce dippings and appetizer, follow by the chicken.. i can't remember the name.. but also pretty rich due to the cheese... also must request to less oil.... the burger was okay with huge portion.... malt cake was in the set as well... huge slice.... and something i will not have too much at one go... too filling.... but i still will not miss out the yummy mudpie..

Island Red Cafe, Krystal Point, Bayan Lepas

Pretty new outlet, so there was still renovation going on when we were there.. so it was a little bit noisy...they serve food which are almost the same concept as Old Town cafe... they even have cakes... price is slightly lower than Old Town, portion is huge.. quality and taste wise, is just so so.. still can be improved further... they even have computers for patrons to use while waiting for their food... a value add.. :D

We ordered Porridge, Nasi lemak, Chicken Curry with Rice, Chicken Curry with Bread, chicken rolls ala "lor bak" and kaya toast....

Ingolf Kneippe, Jln Sg Kelian, Tanjung Bungah

German food Restaurant which is also always filled with patrons... business seems good :)

They have daily specials from the menu....

I ordered the mixed grill... special for the day... haha.. nothitng special actually.. just cheaper from menu price for that day and friend ordered steak with mushroom sauce.. portion was super huge.. i can hardly move and could not finish everything.. lesson learnt... mixed grill can fill 2 tummies ok... it is served with generous serving of greens and mushroom sauce is yummy!!

Tai Tong Dim Sum, Cintra Street

It's not as yummy as most ppl says... hmm.. maybe my taste bud is diff from many :)

Shanghai Ding, Bayan Bay

Food is just okay...not impressive although they serve you generous amount of soup even when your order is just a bowl of wontons...

Vintage Bulgaria & Bed....

This is one of the outdated posts that i have not got time to write about.... it was about a month back when i went to dinner with the Ding siblings.... Vintage Bulgaria as Jln Sg Kelian at tanjung Bungah.. newly opened in early October and have read good reviews, and walked passed when I went to Ingolf for dinner.... they are next door neighbours... Post on that later :D

Anyways, this place has got really nice ambiance, food is pretty good, we did not manage to try the beef tripe soup... recommended by many floggers... out of stock it seems... haha anyways, photos all the way and self explanatory.. wakakaka...

Bulgarian cottage kinda environment... must do bookings on Saturdays ok... we were lucky to get the last available table...

We ordered the cheese garlic bread.. which was yummy... hot buns are complimentary... Traditional Bulgarian salad.. i think the name is Shopska Salad... If not mistaken if BUlgaria's most famous salad... consists of fresh cucumber cubes, tomatoes, pickled something, olive slices, with dressings topped with generous amount of grated feta cheese.... we ordered the chicken soup too (bottom middle)... very normal... we wanted the tripe soup initially... and also a set dinner... consist of soup... green apple soup (bottom left), which we did enjoy a lot... seafood platter and dessert (the crepe with ice cream)...

Another main we ordered was the Platter Bulgaria.... grilled pork sausages and pork chop with sides... mashed potatoes, curried like vegetables and purple cabbage kinda coleslaw... very peppery but nice....

The set dinner's seafood platter... same sides with grilled salmon steak, mussels and tiger prawn... taste pretty good as well and filled three tummies just nice... hahaha...

The restaurant entrance.... it has a bar as well if you're not planning to dine.... off of that cost us around RM115... not cheap but pretty standard and not very overly priced... will i go back again? yes... for the beef tripe soup :D

Off to Bed to grab some drinks after that, and played Big 2.. the 2 siblings.. i suspect they play cheat... hahaha... impossible i only manage to win twice and deal cards the entire night right? wakaka... luckily no bets or anything.. else i will be so finished... hahaha...

Can I get my life back, please?

Can't believe the last time i updated here was like 2 months plus back... and it was about America's next top model Cycle 11, and the whole 13 episodes was released and completed... I've watched them all but did not manage to write a single thing here... it's it because my time management is that bad? Or is it because I've so much to do, this is not my priority? sigh.. Anyways, McKey won for cycle 11, and yes, she deserves this win.

My cousin sis gave birth to baby boy few days back... baby have not been discharged yet... can't wait for the family's new addition to come home so i can go introduce myself to him :D 4th aunt is here to take care of both mother and baby during the confinement period until full moon.. oh yea... they are staying exactly below my unit, so i can go see him anytime, if i manage to leave work early....

I've gone to few places to dine lately, but have not manage to post anything so far, even on facebook. My connection is crawling like an injured tortoise. sheesh~ let me see....

-dining session at Kocha (Taiwanese restaurant), Island red cafe, Ingolf Kneipe (German restaurant), Tai Tong Dim Sum @ night... which was not that good after all, Shanghai Ding (ok, this very obvious is Shanghainese restaurant.. also not very good only), Vintage Bulgaria (Bulgarian cuisine with a very nice ambiance)... not sure if I've left out anything..
wow.... if i were to blog on all this.. i would need to take a week off, lock myself in my room and just write... which is of course impossible... hahaha....

work wise.. well, it's not as fun and motivating as i thought it was before... it has gone to a stage where i don't feel i can fully trust anyone anymore, i see people leaving the organization, people get really distraught with their daily tasks, some highly rewarded for doing nothing much (i keep telling myself it's their luck and market adjustment [market adjustment my foot...at that point of time?? when it's near to recession??? gosh.. ok ok...breathe in.. breathe out...] just to balance up the disappointment you see) it's never fair i know... sickening.. yes... demotivating.. hell yea!! now i do not know why am i working so hard all this while... to get myself rewarded or to get someone else rewarded? i've failed bad time on one of my this year's resolution. TO GO HOME AS OFTEN AS I CAN TO SPEND TIME WITH PARENTS AND FAMILY... i let my bloody job get in the way..... i don't even have much time spend with my little boy which is staying with me here cos i am just too tired after work and i can only manage to bring him for a walk in middle of the night and hit the bed straight.... i wake up to work every day, and sometimes come home at a time most normal working people might have gone to bed.... i have a very imbalanced lifestyle.... work and work and work... that even i'm so tired on weekends, i will go to office and will definitely still go out just because i'm trying to balance up or at least, light my poor life a little with things which is not related to my work and see more of the world like what I've used to do.... have a little fun at least.. i try to squeeze in entertainment and other activities... but this in the end pretty much drained me up...

i have another colleague whch is more hebat than me though... she is always the first to arrive in the office and most of the time, the last to leave (when i say last to leave, i mean really last sometimes up to 1am).... with a daughter and mother to take care of, i seriously do not know how she juggle her lifestyle.... cos her life also revolves around her daily tasks only... she told me sometimes she do not even have time to talk to her daughter for days although living under the same roof. life is tough and unfair huh....

a lot of things actually still disturbing me, just not very convenient to voice it out here.. haha...i'll tell my little boy dog about it instead... i went to pay my bills today... went to kuan yin's (Goddess of Mercy) temple for prayers and blessings... met Shaun who happen to be there.. jokingly asked him if things are going well for him, hehe.. and he answered that good or bad also can to come.. good come to thank and not good is for blessing... very true and correct... it would be best to go for prayers not because of any specific reasons then only you go... must be sincere at all times and i guess this applies to our daily life as a human being... but these days, i noticed that many have forget their roots and would kill and betray to achieve and get what they want.. be it materialistic, selfish or greed... it's sad to see that they even betrayed their old self wanting to a new self... or it is because they are like this all along... just waiting for the time to strike and show true colours... only they know, God knows...

went to the jelutong beach side... not exactly beach la.. it's a new housing area with a waterfront promenade kinda thing, something like gurney drive's, and it has great view of the penang bridge.. just to get fresh air and clear my mind off everything for a while at least.. the new houses are also very pretty..... then went to pay my bill in bayan baru and guess what, i, for the first time in history, left my credit card at the machine after i've completed my payment and left... and i'm very lucky today that the person who found my card, Mr Ong called the card centre and requested them to block my card. The bank called me 10 minutes after I left to inform the incident and advised will cancel this card off and sent me a new one. I tried to call this Mr Ong but he did not answer, so i just send him a thank u sms instead. you are a good person!

thinking of work tomorrow.... not very excited or motivated about it... am i losing interest? or is it because have i lost faith and trust....... i don't know.... maybe God knows... i just want to get my life back....

I've turned 25!! and the long weekend is over :(

ahhh... another long weekend passed just like that... now i'm so lazy wanna go back to work.. even thought i went to the office today to check and update customer some shpts, i was so lazy i wanted to get my ass out of there as soon as i can..
anyways, i turned 25 last saturday... cheers to one year older, one year wiser, i hope.. haha... really hope i did not become like one year more stupid.... praying for the best for my self...

my birthday this year went off just like that.. no big celebration, pretty quiet birthday this year... my birthday was celebrated alone at home... :)


on last wednesday, colleagues bought us cake, early birthday for me and my work buddy... thanks all! You all are such sweet people.. muacks!!

well, on my birthday eve, we had this muhibah thingy going on in the office... many started on leave for the long weekend... one of the Programme Manager was alone, so we invited her for lunch and she in the end treated us lunch at Swensens... Thanks boss! Took some photos for the muhibah day too....

At night, went supper for pulau tikus's market lok lok, at the same time i get to see the perfomances for the phor tor.. haha... i din take any photos though.. the lady wore a dress made from plastic bags of Maggi's packet, and her hat is a maggi bowl cup!! Thanks dear, you know who you are.. :) ! Also thanks to everyone who sent me the sms-es, msg via facebook and friendster with wonderful birthday wishes.

When I went to work in the birthday morning, Jo bought me nasi lemak.. birthday treat i reckon.. haha.. she says that grown up already... can eat nasi lemak already.. haha... thanks for the treat dear! She in fact have treated myself and my work buddy for sakae sushi days back... for our birthday (mine 30th and my work buddy on 31st)... My bestest friend, Ah May called me from Perth to wish me too that morning cos she actually sent me a sms and i forgot to lock the keypad, accidentally called her, so she returned my call.. haha.. sorry babe!

After work, since I was free, went to Queensbay, treated myself for a upper lips waxing (ouch!) at Jurlique and a tub of New Zealand Natural ice cream!! wahahaha... came home hungry and cooked myself a bowl of Korean Instant noodle and start my movie marathon...Watched Definitely, Maybe... a nice movie... also PS: I Love You... another nice one... and What Happened in Vegas .. Funny shiet....

The day pretty much gone by just like that.. so i spent my birthday watching dvd, online and updating facebook album at the same time and play with my little boy... i self declared that he have the same birthday as mine.. when I got him, he was 5 months old... after calculating, got to know he's an August puppy... just don't know which particular date... so my baby boy is 4 years old!!!! uncle d... hahaha... i din get him any special cake though... instead i bought him 5 packs of his favourite treats... hahaha..

Oh ya.. i got some pressies too, which i din really expected, you guys shouldn't have... but thanks heaps to you, branda, joey, my sis, you, you, you and you and everyone... etc etc... to me, it's always the heart that counts... my dad sms-ed me that morning.. and i kurang asam-ly asked where is my ang pao.. wahahahaha.. sorry pa.. i was just joking!

The next morning, merdeka morning.. woke up really early.. infact i woke up earlier than my normal working days... went for a drive to feringghi to enjoy the morning breeze and beach, initially wanted to go for Park Royal buffet breakfast.. well.. didn't expect it was going to be that expensive... haha.. RM55++, cost only RM3 lesser than buffet lunch! decided to pass and drove down Tropical Spice garden to checkout what they have since we're around that area.. they have breakfast buy variety wise wasn't not that much.. so we took a slow drive back to Gurney and had breakfast at Mr Pot instead... friend's toast came with extra ingredient.. natural ingredient.. look at the photo.. wakaka.. they changed it immediately we showed them! And the mango.. er.. basically we did not order it.. this one uncle came and wanted to sell us some fruits.. mangoes, rambutans, corns, langsat etc.. we politely declined so he thank us and got on his bicycle.. then we realised he left a mango behind and it was a little too late for us to give it back to him... unless we ran across the road and chase his bicycle.. so sorry uncle.. next time i see u, i pay you back for the mango okie :)

Went to do some banking again.. always have a lot of banking to do.... especially beginning of the month... bills need to be settled!!! bluerghhh... head to Gurney Plaza, got myself a luggage bag!! haha... can't wait for my trip!!! intially i wanted to buy some japanese plates... which was so cheap!! i thought okay.. i go see my luggage first... i should have grab it and carry it along.. cos when i'm done with my luggage, it's gone!! it's like 10 sets sitting there when i saw it and it's all gone... grrr... so gerammm!!! then i see few aunties walking around holding my plates!!! er.. not exactly my plates laa... but i wanted to buy it mahhh.. lesson learnt.. the next time i see something i wanted, i'll grab it first then only decide if i still want it or don't want it later before exiting the store!!

Went to 2 temples, my friend went to do donation and i tagged along...then end our day with late lunch at Padang Brown... had yummy yong tau foo.. it's has been nearly a year since the last time i went there... someone used to bring me there since we enjoyed eating there a lot... alright.. sad story aside... both of us practically eat out heart out.. yong tau foo and we have 2nd round serving too! then the cucur udang and siew mai. my friend had an extra baby bowl of laksa.... :P so that was my lunch and dinner all together... Another Sunday well spent :) thanks dear for the great company!

Reached home around 5pm really tired, fell asleep i don't know when, until 2am! haha.. i stayed awake until now... went to office early in the morning, then sent my laundry and go pamper my hair.. hehe... gotta go work tomorrow... soo layyzeeeeee.....
