Arrowhead chips..a.k.a ngaku

After "pia" with all the aunties and uncles at tesco a week plus back.. last last weekend... in tesco, both me with my sis... choosing the big sized fresh arrowhead.. haha.. not very fresh la.. imported from china... how fresh can it be... we bought home one whole big bag of arrow head a.k.a "ngaku". My sis was supposed to prepare everything the next day...but when i reached home after work.. around 8 that time.. she was in her room watching One Million Star... and she only peeled of the arrowheads skin... she said she peeled her finger's skin.. sakit.. so now i have to finish whatever she have left in the kitchen.... what to do... have to ler... keke.. in the end.. completed everything with 2 big jar of ngaku chips... now left 3/4 jar only... CNY oso belum.. wanna habis d :P

It's not easy to make this chips.. no wonder they are selling so expensive for one jar outside... peeling the skins off is a hassle... frying it was not an easy task... how nice if i can throw the whole bunch in the hot oil... but they'll stick together.. so u have to be fast throw slice by slice to the hot oil at the same time very fast turn the earlier ones over as they turn dark very fast in the hot oil... have to multi task... else u'll get burned chips! wasted... keke...

Aaron's Farewell Dinner @ East Hokkaido Seafood Restaurant

Last Thursday, 31st Jan 07, we went for dinner for Aaron's farewell.. well... he's leaving for a better position, better offer, better future.. i wish him best of luck.. he has indeed been a good superior and a friend. Dinner was organised by the GAMs, courtesy of their boss Alex & DHL. Thank you for inviting... :) Dinner was at East Hokkaido Restaurant at Bagan Jermal opposite Phor Tay School... dinner was okay... not superbly impressive.... pretty pricey i would say... but they have all the rare or rather expensive seafood you don't see in Tambun.. muahahahaha...

Yup.. lobsters and king crab... lonely king crab.. anti social.. it shared a tank with a spider crab.. but both show each other their asses...

The above right dick-looking seacreature is the Geoduck ... (pronounced /'guːiːdak/ i.e. "gooey duck") and it does not come cheap... RM150 per kg.. not sure how heavy each but i think it's around 2kg.. i quote "It has a life expectancy of about 146 years, with the oldest recorded at over 160 years. This makes the Geoduck one of the longest-living organisms in the Animal Kingdom." source from Wikipedia... fuiyoh..

And that's our first course.... rich fish stock soup with thinly sliced fresh fish meat and vegetables.. and second course is 4 angled bean, petai, fat long beans and lotus root stir fry with i dunno what was it.. taste like serunding... wakakaka.... and why are the photos taken with such lousy exposure, and where's other courses...well.. it's because it's very dim in there and i don't want to scare everyone with my photo taking obsession.. wakakaka... and i don't want the poor sea creatures to float upside down after that in the tank... heart attack cause by the camera flash...

And Aaron trying to tipu ppl drink.. :P In the end kena balik... of course la.. he's the superstar of the nite ler... Teddy make dunno.. i drink my soup better.. ngeh ngeh ngeh....

Irene brought this bottle during dinner... Glenmorangie's Scotch whisky... very smooth.. and it taste and smell not bad at all..

Half of the guys went home tipsy and hangover.. muahahahaha...... we should do this more often : P

I need a new pair of glasses..

My vision is getting bad.. even with the current glasses on, it's not helping much especially when i'm driving at night... even now, anyone who stand like 5 metres away from me, i can see only the face.. with blurry features.. oh tidak....... i met few friends at gurney today.. they were waving fractically and i looked at them like some crazy ppl.. until they call my name out loud.. haha.. well.. i can still see and feel that that someone is so familiar, but without a better vision, i dare not wave back.. manatau later wave and wave, wrong ppl.. pai seh laaa.... so people, if you happen to see me anywhere but i din say hi or wave hello... it's not that i'm lansi... it's just me without my second set of eyes...

America's Next Top Model Cycle 10

America's Next Top Model Cycle 10 is premiering 20th Feb.. looking forward for the new season... Last cycle, i wanted Lisa to win.. but she was eliminated due to lack of confidence... but my second choice, Saleisha won... came second was most ppl's choice, Chantal... and that just reminded me of somehting... i bet with someone... his first choice was Chantal and second choice was Heather... hmm... Chris, you still owe me... :P

This cycle, the have some changes done.. no more Twiggy as the judge and they're back to New York instead of LA for the pass few cycle... and they have 14 finalist instead of 13.. so i guess.. one extra episode to watch... yay... at least i get to keep myself occupied and entertained a bit for possibily 13 weeks to come...

Hmm.. and what happened to Samantha Who...don't tell me it's only until episode 9 and that's it.... arghh..

I've finally finished the whole 20 episodes of War of In Laws II... it's as funny as the first one.. maybe sometimes a lil bit over.. it's like somehow pretty similar to The Devil Wears Prada storyline... now if you ask me... which one i prefer.. i can't say.. cos both are equally funny... keke.. finally.. after few days of sleeping at 2 something 3 am... moving on to the next series.. i have a lot awaiting.. even some before this one... will i ever have enough time.... sigh.. cannot be sacrificing my sleep time all the time for a lil bit of entertainment rite? zzzzz.. time to sleep now.. else.. gonna be late for work tomorrow!
